Our precious little mum, grandma, sister and aunt passed away peacefully at the QMC, finally succumbing to pneumonia having suffered from severe dementia for several years.
Born and raised by her beloved grandparents in Lenton between the wars, Pauline moved to the brand new Clifton Estate with her late husband John in the early 1950s where they raised two sons, Keith and Colin.
A good looking woman who when young was often compared to Elizabeth Taylor, she was a true Nottingham lass who loved reading, history and the classic Hollywood films of her youth.
All that knew her will agree that there has never been a kinder and more generous person. She genuinely never had a bad word to say about anyone. We were all so lucky to have known her.
Sadly Pauline needed 24 hour care during her last 4 years following the onset of severe dementia. This care was provided by the wonderful staff of Clifton View Care Home to whom we are eternally grateful. They treated her with such compassion and dignity.
The funeral service and post funeral reception will take place in July on a date to be arranged.
